Cynapse was contracted by the subsidiary of a FTSE listed defence and security company to undertake a strategic review of their business and service portfolio to identify existing areas that are primed for growth and new service offerings that could complement current practices.
The company was having difficulty expanding its service and consultancy offerings outside its immediate sphere. It had created a number of business units that had successfully cornered the market. However, they were very niche and the remaining business areas were continuing at a low level in existing competitive markets.

As a result of our work, the company was able to launch new initiatives to seek international expansion of existing services by drawing on their UK market leading position. In addition, the client tailored existing services where they did not hold a market leading position, into a revised portfolio that focussed on a large, fragmented, but unserviced customer segments. This required adopting a new business model based on low value, high throughput approach that needed company personnel to adapt to a new way of working.
